Yes, but the English language is so redundant from an information theory perspective that, without half the letters, you still made yourself understood. Doesn't that make you happy?
Arcdonicg to a sduty at an Elgsinh ... ah, forget it.
Well, the Dvorak layout helps with that, in that it's designed to alternate letters more, so that roughly every other letter (the vowels) got removed. If the right half of my keyboard went instead, and you just got the vowels, I wonder if the message would have been as clear.
Man... how do you people manage to use these mechanical things? It's taking forever to type this.
At first I though you were just leaving out the vowels. We tried that once for fun. The only real problem was the word "using" which came out as "sng", so people were thinking "sing, song, sung".
Nope, I was just leaving out the left hand. (Or rather, I was using my left hand, but the keyboard wasn't doing anything.)
I use a Touchstream LP
, and the cable between the halves is damaged. I shipped it away to be fixed and I am now typing on a "normal" keyboard like a cripple.

Yeah, I remembering noting the tiny little ribbon cable the first time I saw the Touchstream folded in half, and thought to myself "Well, I know what the limiting factor on these things' lifetime is."
